If haven't already noticed this blog is a critical look at how life and God's actions are presented in the three greatest holy books. However, as an agnostic I am looking at them for what they are in regards to how I perceive the world today and what I know about life from a scientific perspective.
Things you should know about my comments
1. I am reading the translations in my native language. If man is happy to translate his own works into many languages without fuss then it is inexcusable for the perfect books meant for all of man to only be presented in one language. It is clearly bias.
2. Reading the verses for what they are. No need for backflip translations "What God really meant to say is this."
If God really meant to say it in a particular way he would have just said it, so it would be interpreted in many different ways.
3. Pulling to punches. Many believers are quick to make up excuses for the laws and actions God does in these holy books. "God knows best" However, I will not be as forgiving.
Color Code
I am looking for particular traits and practices, and I want to make a comparison between the Quran and the Bible in this respect.
This is the color code:
Strong Violent or Angry words
Rituals for no purpose but to appease
Endorsing the Seven Deadly Sins
Goodness or Forgiveness after wrong doing
Insecurity about non-believers
